I never realized that AdulterersWife.com would be a difficult website for people to remember or spell. I told a friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, about my site, emphasizing that it was geared towards women who were married to adulterers. She said that the URL I gave her was a porn site. Despite the fact that she had a degree from one of the best universities in California, she typed in “AdulterousWife.com.” Duh! I was talking about adulterous husbands, not wives. Of course, a wife might react to having a philandering husband by following his lead and becoming adulterous herself, but I thought I’d made it clear to my highly-educated pal that my site was for adulterers’ wives not adulterous wives.
Just in case you’re interested, the website AdulterousWife.com loudly proclaims “Free wife porn. Who’s next please?” I’m sure you’d like me to give you a link to that site to check it out right now, but I’m not going to do that. I won’t get into a debate about the pros and cons of porn except to say that I’m not willing to promote it on AdulterersWife.com. You’ll just have to let your fingers do the walking and type in the URL yourself if you want to visit my website’s alter-ego. Maybe I’m being inconsistently prudish given the fact that I do include a fair amount of somewhat raunchy material in my forthcoming book, Adulterer’s Wife: How to Thrive Whether You Stay or Not, but it’s generally in the context of black humor rather than pornography. More importantly, in my book I poke fun at male rather than female sexual behavior, while most porn, including that on the AdulterousWife.com website, focuses on women doing things that men can ogle at from the comfort of their own laptops.
The AdulterousWife.com logo is a cartoon of a poor unsuspecting groom with a little red heart (perhaps they should have shown it bleeding), and a devilish buxom bride with red horns in a white wedding dress. Then there’s a long list of links for amateur porn videos involving naughty wives, spiced up with bad grammar and spelling mistakes. However, the husbands generally don’t seem to be bleeding-heart innocents as they appear to have created many of the videos themselves to showcase the hotness of their better halves.
Still on the subject of spelling mistakes, another friend, this one educated at a high-ranking British university, couldn’t find my website at all. She was looking for adulterswife.com. Then a guy I knew spelled it the same way. My solution was to get the adulterswife.com domain as well and point it to the site with the correct number of “er”s.
It just goes to show that even college-educated people can be incredibly dim at times. Someone once told me, “It’s a C minus world.” I suppose that means you must never underestimate the ability of anyone to screw up royally. In fact, adultery is one area where this tendency appears over and over again. A CNN opinion commentary by Frida Ghitis in 2012 asked a question that will never go out of date, “Are Men Stupid?” She quoted numerous examples of otherwise intelligent males in positions of power who had chosen to risk destroying their careers by indulging in extramarital affairs and sometimes stunningly asinine sexual escapades. I’ll be covering some of these in blog posts, and I have no doubt that men from all walks of life and from every part of the globe will continue to give me an endless supply of foolish frolics fodder to write about.
I love these blogs. But I can see where a grammar twit, like me, could make a mistake like that, and I have a master’s in English lit! I wonder if they have a porn website for adulterous husbands. That search turned up a whole host of things like “What should the betrayed spouse do,” “how to survive a cheating husband,” “The anatomy of adultery,”and lots of banal talk from ministers. No equivalent adulteroushusbands.com either. Guess women don’t want to look at porn sites about them either. Does that mean that adultery and porn is only a man’s fantasy/game?!
I loved your getting a domain name for the misspelling of Adultererswife.com. It’s helpful to people that are prone to typos, like me!
When you ask google search engine for ‘adulterers wife’ it comes up with ‘adulterous wife’ and then there are many pious headlines; then below it says “do you mean adulterers wife” and you say yes and it comes up with lots about ‘adulterers’ but not about the poor wife. The jealous bitch blog comes up on a second page because it does contain those words. Really amazing that a whole segment of the wives of cheaters hardly comes up at all. They might as well be ghosts.
